Miranda Cosgrove Biography

Miranda Cosgrove is a renowned American actress, singer, and producer who rose to fame as Summer Hathaway in School of Rock and as Carly in iCarly, the latter of which earned her a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in 2009.

She later voiced the character Margo in Despicable Me and Played Megan Parker in the Nickelodeon series Drake & Josh.

Cosgrove was discovered at a young age singing and dancing around a table in a restaurant, where an agent saw her talent and quickly signed her. Her career officially started with commercials for Burger King, McDonald’s, among others as she auditioned for many roles.

Eventually, she won her first role as the band’s manager in the movie, School of Rock (2003).

While filming School of Rock (2003) in New York, Miranda was informed that her pilot Drake & Josh (2004) had been picked up. She co-starred as Drake and Josh’s little sister, a
